ZEINA is a restaurant for these times. Ingredients are fresh. Meals are cheap, comforting and nutritious. The food is delicious. All that is to be expected from a place whose name means best of everything.
Summer's here, and the time is right for eating on the street — which you can do in Somerville at Saturday's Sampler Day, or on the patio, as is now possible with the opening of Zeina, the Mediterranean restaurant that has replaced the former Seven Hills of Istanbul in Highland Park.

Photographer Mary Iuvone of MyCentralJersey.com recently enjoyed a toast at Zeina. The night was filled with gusto, capturing local patrons enjoying the festive Mediterranean and Middle Eastern atmosphere. Among the highlights, were the sensational dishes, exotic dances, and joyful smiles.
Miriam Caberlon's feet walked with the music. Her hips moved back and forth and lifted with the beat, causing the beads on her garment to chime. Her arms waved in the air. This is an ordinary Friday and Saturday night at Zeina, Highland Park's newest restaurant and only Turkish and Lebanese place to dine. Yet, nothing about Zeina is ordinary. Zeina, which means "the best of everything," offers the best food, hospitality and entertainment.
